Hey Yall!
So what had happened was…I missed one post, and then another post, and then it sort of became a mini impromptu hiatus. In the time that I've been gone I have started a new job, had spring break, and had a midterm and have begun preparing for finals. Fun stuff! But don't think I forgot about this blog or my readers. I have been working so hard to finish up school so that I can get back to posting and sharing with everyone that sticks with me even when I go AWOL from the site for a little while.
Also, Operation Write Everyday has ended. It didn't go as well as I had planned due to the above-mentioned things happening but maybe we can try again at a later date. I hope all of my writer friends who are reading this are still writing everyday. I think a big part of what makes writing scary for most people is that in order to write you have to think and feel. Sometimes it requires you to think about things that you don't want to think about or maybe to bring up old feelings that you didn't want to feel the first time around so why in the world you would want to feel them again just to get words on a paper can seem off-putting. But when it's all said and done writing is such a catharsis.
Switching gears a little bit, can everyone believe that it's April already? Here in DC that means that the Cherry Blossoms are preparing to bloom and there will be parades and fireworks and tons of celebrations. It's definitely a fun way to bring in the Spring season (despite the fact that it snowed here on the first day of spring). Easter is also coming up but I think at 25 I'm a little too old to get an Easter basket. BUT if it were filled with stationary and RSVP pens then I would happily accept it.
In order to provide you all with more regular content once finals are done I'm going to try switching up a few things. I'm going to the to switch up my posting schedule and actually stick to it, for one! Also, just having better planning overall. Plus, I miss you all. Does that sound weird? Well, it's true! I miss interacting with all of you on social media and exchanging thoughts, feelings, and laughs on various topics.
Well, enough of my sappiness for now. Who knows, you may see sooner than you think. Make sure you’re following me on social media so you don’t miss out on any posts or important information. I hope everyone has a wonderful hump day! Besos y abrazos!

"Operation Write Everyday" sounds like familiar ground reading it from my screen. I have discovered, whereas, writing everyday can keep the ideas of wisdom, creativity and humor flowing throughout the mind (helping you stay upbeat and focused) giving more "YES!" to your readers, it can also become slightly "awwww, oh" causing writer's block. So, I opted for post that come to me either on the spot or ones I have stored, to post whenever I feel inspiration is near. I'm glad the weekend is here. More designing, relaxing and less of whatever I needed a break from :)
